Here, spice powders are added to enhance the spiciness since the carrots are sweet by nature. Carrots are one of the healthiest vegetables that are easily available in our markets. So this is a perfect lunch box recipe and a healthy recipe as well. Intaking carrots often improves our immunity and it helps in skin glowing.
I have added few spice powders such as cumin powder, chilli powder, turmeric powder and pepper powder. If you want, you can skip cumin and chilli powder. Just go ahead with pepper powder. That will taste amazing too. I often make this carrot fry recipe since this is very easy to make. This is a perfect recipe that beginners can try. STEPS FOR MAKING CARROT FRY
Heat 2 to 3 tbsp of cooking oil in a pan. I used coconut oil. Add chopped carrots and fry them on medium flame.
The carrot’s colour changes after few mins. Then close the pan with a lid and allow to cook until the carrots are done.
Once the carrots are cooked, add the required amount of salt and all the spice powders.
Fry them until the raw smell goes off. Once the carrots are fried well, they will look like this.
Spicy and yummy Carrot Fry is ready to serve hot.
- Do not add salt at first since the quantity of the carrots will be reduced once it is cooked.
- You can skip all the spice powders except pepper powder.
- Adjust the spice powders’ quantity as per your taste.
