Eggless French Toast – with a step by step methods and pictures are seen in this blog.
Eggless French Toast is a perfect snack or breakfast recipe that can be made in 20 mins at home. This toast contains minimal ingredients such as bread of any type, milk, custard powder, powdered sugar and ghee. You can also add cornflour instead of custard powder. Since it contains milk, you will feel full when you have them. So these eggless french toasts are even taken as breakfast.

In this Eggless French Toast, custard powder is used instead of eggs. Dipping the bread in the custard and sugar gives the crispy texture outside and softness inside. Adding sugar will give the caramelized texture when it gets toasted and adds sweetness to the toast. I haven’t added the cinnamon powder to this eggless french toast but you can add it if you wish to add it. When you have busy mornings and wants to do something very quickly, you can directly jump to this eggless french toast. That makes a sweet breakfast and fills your tummy as well.

You can use any good quality of bread to make this Eggless French Toast. I have used Wheat bread for this French Toast but you can prefer White Bread, Brown Bread or Sandwich Bread. Homemade bread slices are even best for this toast recipe.

Ingredients for making Eggless French Toast
- 5 slices of Bread
- 3/4th cup Milk
- 2 tbsp Custard Powder
- 2 tbsp Powdered Sugar (Can use Sugar Granules as well)

Steps for making Eggless French Toast
Take a mixing bowl and add custard powder and powdered sugar to it. I have used powdered sugar since I had them. You can use sugar granules as well. Adjust the sugar quantity according to your taste.

Next, gradually add milk to the dry ingredients and gently mix them without any lumps. You can also add few drops of vanilla essence to them if you prefer. I have added boiled and chilled milk since the raw milk might contain bacteria.

Gently mix and keep them aside.

Then heat a pan and grease with some ghee. You can also use butter for toasting but I have used ghee since I like the flavor of ghee.

Then dip the custard milk into a bread slice. Just take custard milk in the spoon and pour it over the bread slice. You can also put the bread slice into the custard milk but do not dip it deeply since the bread will become soggy when you take it.

Then place the soaked bread in the pan and toast until the bottom side gets brown and crispy. You can pour some ghee or butter into the sides of the bread.

Once the bottom is cooked well, flip the bread to the other side and toast on the low flame until it becomes golden brown or brown. Since we have used the sugar, the bread will get a brown colour once it toasted well.

Once it toasted well, keep it aside and you can repeat the same process for the remaining bread slices.

Eggless French Toast is ready to serve hot or warm.

Quick Tips
- Do not over dip the custard milk into the bread since it will become soggy.
- You will feel like that bread is a bit sticky since sugar is added, but don’t worry.
- Once it toasted well, the bread will become crispy and the stickiness will vanish.
- Serve the French Toasts while they are hot or warm. Once they come to room temperature, the crispiness will disappear.
