Chicken Fry is an aromatic, spicy and flavourful fried recipe that goes amazing with hot rice with rasam or any other lunch recipe. The ingredients are very simple and there is no big deal to prepare this chicken fry. I have used broiler chicken for this recipe but you can either prefer country chicken or broiler.

To avoid the unpleasant smell of the chicken, marinate the chicken with turmeric powder and lemon juice. Rest them for 15 mins and then wash them. Since I have done this method, I haven’t added turmeric powder and lemon juice while marinating. If you haven’t followed this method while washing the chicken, then add both ingredients while marinating them. I haven’t added curd but if you want you can add unsour curd.

Also, I have used coconut oil to fry the chickens since it gives a nice flavour and aroma to the fried chickens. Shallow frying of the chicken consumes less oil so I preferred shallow fry in this recipe. This chicken fry recipe can be tried by beginners as well since it is the easiest recipe for everyone. Chicken Fry
Equipment
- Any type of Pan
Ingredients
- 200 grams Boneless Chicken
- 2 tbsp Ginger-garlic paste
- 2 ½ tbsp Corinader Powder
- 2 tbsp Chilli Powder
- 2 tbsp Garam masala Powder
- 1 tsp Turmeric Powder
- ½ Lemon's juice
- 2 tbsp coconut oil for marination
- Coconut oil for cooking
- Few curry leaves
- Salt to Taste
Instructions
- Wash the chicken thoroughly.
- Add all the spices one by one over the chicken. Pour 2 tbsp of oil and lemon juice along with the spice powders. Season it with salt as well.
- Mix them evenly and rest the marinated chicken for at least 30 mins.
- Heat enough oil in the pan for shallow frying the chicken.
- Place the marinated chicken one by one in the pan and do not over-crowd them.
- On medium flame, fry them for 15 mins or until the chicken is fried well.
- Once the bottom is fried well, turn the chicken to the other side and add a few curry leaves over the chicken and gently mix them.
- Cook the chicken until they are fried well.
- Serve hot.
