Potato Masala or Poori Masala is the South Indian dish that is served with Pooris in Indian Restaurants. It is the simplest recipe that can be prepared in 15 mins. It has fewer ingredients but tastes yummy when you serve it with poori.

Poori Masala is one of my favourites and I use to prepare them often for our breakfast. I have made an easy Potato Masala so that beginners can also try this recipe. There are no special steps for making this recipe. It is a semi gravy potato masala.
The other version of potato masala contains gram flour to maintain the thick consistency but I haven’t added any such thing in this recipe. Also, I have added cumin seeds instead of saunf/ sombu. You can either add cumin seeds or saunf. So try this recipe and let me know how it turned out for you.
